Falling Waters – Shepherdstown Move Project

The Falling Waters – Shepherdstown Move Project renovated newly acquired Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities located at 223 Lowe Drive, Shepherdstown, WV. The project consisted of one (1) floor of new office and open cubicle spaces for approximately 250 VA personnel and its contractors. This work included approximately 110,000 feet of cabling. Pivotal Point provided telecommunications infrastructure logistic support to include:

  • Project management
  • Infrastructure engineering for LAN (Telecom) room
  • LAN room power design and backup requirements
  • LAN room Construction and Equipment Installation
  • Cable pathway design and Construction
  • Cable installation
  • Cable termination, labeling and testing

The project required 1,523 labor hours between February and August of 2017 during which Pivotal Point performed the following:

  • Project management
  • Cable Pathway (Vertical and Horizontal) Engineering and Construction
  • Low-Voltage (CAT6) Cable Installation
  • Telecommunications Closet Engineering and Construction
  • End User Interface Installation
  • Cable Testing
  • Uninterruptible Power Supply System Engineering and Construction
  • Logistic and Inventory Support
